What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is a form of healthcare that emphasises the body’s natural ability to heal itself, with a particular focus on the spine, joints, and nervous system. Our Chiropractors in our Cambridge Clinic are trained to assess how misalignments or restrictions in the musculoskeletal system can contribute to pain, reduced mobility, and other health concerns. Through hands-on techniques, they work to restore proper movement, reduce nerve irritation, and improve overall function. Our Chiropractors also incorporate complementary approaches and massage, to support long-term health.

People often seek chiropractic care for specific issues, but many also use it as part of a preventive or wellness-oriented routine.

Chiropractic care has become a popular option for those seeking a non-invasive, drug-free approach to managing pain and maintaining physical health.

Whether you’re seeking relief from pain, improved mobility or simply a healthier lifestyle, we’re here to support your journey every step of the way to achieve your version of optimal health.

What to expect at your first Chiropractic visit
When you see a chiropractor for the first time at Move Free Chiropractic, they will do a detailed assessment of your health. You will be asked for information about your current condition and also about your medical history and overall health. After this, a physical examination will take place to gain a greater insight into your presenting complaint.

A thorough chiropractic exam may include general tests, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and reflexes. Specific orthopedic and neurological tests may also be used to assess the:
Range of motion of the affected body part(s)
Muscle tone
Muscle strength
Neurological integrity

Some of the questions you will be asked may not seem important, but they will help your chiropractor to establish an overall picture of your health and determine whether Chiropractic Care is appropriate for your condition.

Please wear comfortable clothing for this appointment.

Once an initial assessment is complete, treatment can begin.
Depending on the complexity of your need, often, your first Chiropractic treatment will take place at your first appointment.
